Festival Frequently Asked Questions
BEFORE YOU GO
What is Chreece?
Chreece is a multi-venue music festival in Indianapolis featuring live indoor and outdoor performances, and other events throughout the year. Learn more about Chreece here.
Where can I find the list of venues?
Official venues will be listed on the Chreece website, map, wayfinding signage, and event schedule once available.
Do I need a ticket for each venue?
No. Chreece uses wristbands, which get you in to official venues as long as capacity allows.
Does a wristband guarantee entry?
No. All venues are legally required to follow maximum capacity limits. If a venue reaches capacity, entry will temporarily pause. As people exit, new attendees are admitted on a one-in / one-out basis, with entry alternating between VIP and General Admission (GA).
Can I leave a venue and come back?
Re-entry is generally allowed with a valid wristband, but you must go through standard entry procedures again. Re-entry is not guaranteed if a venue is at capacity at the time you return.
Do all venues have the same rules?
No. Each venue is different, check with individual venues for rules.
Are there age restrictions?
Chreece is designed to be welcoming to all ages. Most outdoor street programming is all-ages and family-friendly. A small number of indoor venues are 21+; age requirements are set by each venue.
Are tickets refundable or transferable?
Ticket policies (refunds, transfers, upgrades) are outlined at the time of purchase.
What if I lose my ticket confirmation or wristband info?
Contact Chreece support using the information provided on the ticketing page to verify or resend your confirmation.
How should I plan to get around?
Chreece is fully walkable, with all official venues located close together. There is no dedicated venue parking, and neighborhood street parking will be extremely limited. Please avoid parking within the festival area out of respect for nearby residents.
We recommend public transit as the best way to arrive—check IndyGo for routes and schedules. Rideshare and carpooling are also encouraged. If you drive, park outside the festival footprint and walk between venues. Local roads will be closed on the day of the festival.
Is Chreece rain or shine?
Yes. Outdoor or partially outdoor shows may be delayed, relocated, or canceled if weather conditions become unsafe.
Will the schedule stay exactly the same?
Set times and programming may change due to weather and safety considerations.
Will there be photos or video taken?
Yes. Chreece captures photos and videos of performances, crowds, and the festival atmosphere.
Are accessibility accommodations available?
Accessibility varies by location, many venues offer ADA-accessible entry and seating.
DAY-OF THE FESTIVAL
What do I need to enter a venue?
Have your Chreece wristband visible and ready. Venue staff handle door operations and capacity checks.
Who runs the door?
Each venue controls its own entry and security. Chreece volunteers may assist with lines and communication, but venue staff enforce policies and capacity.
What happens if a venue is full?
Entry pauses until people exit. This is required by law—thanks for your patience if you’re waiting.
What items are allowed or prohibited?
Policies vary by venue. Some items may not be allowed due to safety or security rules. Follow posted signage and staff instructions.
Will there be security on site?
Yes. Each venue provides its own security and crowd management staff. Chreece also has festival-wide security and operations staff on site to assist with emergencies and coordination across venues.
What if I feel unsafe or need help?
If you need assistance, speak with any Chreece volunteer, venue staff member, security guard, or off-duty police officer. Each venue has a designated Chreece Venue Lead, and festival operations staff are available for urgent issues. Medical and emergency support, as well as Lost & Found, are located at Festival Headquarters.
How is alcohol handled?
Alcohol service is managed by each venue, and we encourage attendees to support venue bars and local restaurants throughout the festival area. Chreece also operates festival bars in designated outdoor areas. Valid ID is required, and venues may refuse service to comply with safety and liquor laws. Alcohol purchased outside a venue may not be taken inside.
Can I take photos or videos?
Yes. Personal photos and videos are welcome throughout the festival grounds. Professional cameras or recording equipment are only permitted inside venues with an approved press or media pass. Commercial recording without authorization is not allowed.
What happens if weather or safety becomes an issue?
Chreece may pause, relocate, or cancel programming if conditions become unsafe.
Can a show be stopped or moved?
Yes. Chreece reserves the right to adjust or stop programming if safety or compliance requires it.
